We are Divorce and Family Law Solicitors in London (Holborn). For those wanting their cases handled by someone with long-term practical experience, our senior solicitor hourly rates are comparably lower than in most other central London firms, and we have a reduced fee for an initial one hour consultation. As one of the best known specialist divorce law firms in London, we deal with a wide range of issues including international divorces involving English nationals or residents, but mostly financial issues arising from the breakdown of relationships including civil partnerships and unmarried co-habitees. We also advise about pre-nuptial, post-nuptial and separation agreements. Typically, we deal with cases where the assets are of medium or of relatively high value or where the issues involved are potentially complex (for example where there may be business or trust assets) We realise that these are sensitive issues: we try to handle them in a sympathetic, civilised and positive manner and by advising clearly and acting firmly and decisively to resolve them, if possible by agreement. The firm is situated in Central London and was established in 1991 by David du Pré a former barrister who qualified as a Solicitor in 1980. He is a member of Resolution (formerly known as the Solicitors Family Law Association) and the International Society of Family Law. Overall he has more than 40 years experience of divorce work. His associate Gaye Osborne, who also has considerable experience of divorce work, was admitted as a solicitor in 1982 and is a member of Resolution and the Law Society's Family Lawyers Panel We have a broad client base but we are not in a position to represent publicly funded clients: however, we believe that our charges are competitive and we have a reduced fee for the first hour's advice without obligation to instruct us.
